Our Events Team

We take a coordinated approach, working with you and our provincial partners to put together your event plan and then put the pieces in place to execute seamlessly. It’s an approach that’s seen us welcome world-class event after world-class event.

Our Province & Partners

Nova Scotia is a stunning backdrop for any event. We come by it naturally. From vibrant urban centres to charming small towns, incredible ocean vistas to breathtaking highland scenery, we have it all. You just have to decide which scene suits you best. And we’d be happy to help with that.

Our Facilities

Whether you need a world-class sports arena, an intimate concert venue or multiple venues, we have the infrastructure you need for success. You’ll find state-of-the art centres in communities throughout Nova Scotia. You’ll also find venues steeped in heritage and character. We’ve also got all the technical expertise and resources you need from lighting and sound to security. One venue that seats 10,000…10 venues that seat 1000. Any way you need it, Nova Scotia can make it work.

EVENT ADVISORY GROUP

A key action item within the Nova Scotia Event Strategy is the development of an Event Advisory Group to encourage greater cooperation and coordination of major event planning, development and hosting. This group is now formed and is made up of stakeholders and regional representatives from across the province.

The Event Advisory Group will meet quarterly and advise the Director of Events Nova Scotia on priorities and opportunities for implementation of the Nova Scotia Event Strategy. Whether it be improving our event environment or addressing gaps in education and capacity building, the advisory group will be the eyes and ears of regions across Nova Scotia and they will be a point of contact in your region.

Regions include: Cape Breton; Southwest Nova Scotia; Liverpool; Lunenburg County; the Valley; Halifax; Colchester/Cumberland; and Eastern and Northumberland Shores.

If you’re not sure who your representative is – please reach out to our team.

GOVERNMENT WORKING GROUP

Organizing industry wide and government wide is essential to event hosting success. That’s why Events Nova Scotia is also bringing together a Government Working Group to ensure we’re leveraging major event investments and addressing any barriers to event hosting success. The group will act as a major event task force, making it easier for rights holders and event leaders to choose and host major events in our province.
