Events Nova Scotia is a division of the Nova Scotia department of Communities, Culture and Heritage. We work with communities and event organizers to attract and develop major sporting, cultural and entertainment events across the province.

With our renowned hospitality, skilled volunteers and state-of-the-art facilities, Nova Scotians have a proven track record of hosting successful events. That’s why we work with communities and event organizers to set a higher standard for event hosting and position Nova Scotia as Canada’s east coast events destination.

In 2018, government launched its first provincial strategy for the development, attraction and funding of events.

The Nova Scotia Event Strategy outlines how our province plans to develop, attract and fund events that will showcase our culture, sport, heritage and competitive advantages to audiences around the world. The strategy also outlines how we plan to be an international leader in event hosting. We need to ensure that once we win these events – that we deliver at a high standard.
