Volunteers are integral to the success of major event hosting in our province. That is why Events Nova Scotia is excited to announce a new partnership with Volunteer Nova Scotia, a website dedicated to match-making skilled volunteers with organizations who need them.

As a legacy of the 2011 Canada Winter Games, Events Nova Scotia collected a database of over 2,500 major event volunteers. Through the new partnership, we will be encouraging volunteers to register a new profile under Volunteer Nova Scotia. Overtime, this will provide a rich database of enthusiastic and skilled volunteers from which major event organizers can draw from for major event hosting.

Volunteer Nova Scotia will act as a free resource to major event organizers looking to recruit volunteers and major event leaders, and to volunteers who will be able to actively browse for opportunities within their skills and interests.
